The latest act to emerge on Anjunadeep, LA duo Leaving Laurel bring their delicate touch to Anjunabeats, with a fresh rework of Andrew Bayer and Alison May’s ‘Open End Resource’. One of the first tracks the duo worked on under the Leaving Laurel moniker, their introspective remix is reminiscent of acts such as Boards of Canada, Tycho and Kiasmos, combining subtle atmospherics with refined electronica rhythms.

“We became big fans of Andrew Bayer’s music back in 2011 with his Distractions EP and as a result discovered that it was on a label called Anjunadeep…there’s something particularly special about our first remix as Leaving Laurel being an Andrew Bayer song. We really enjoyed the original version of “Open End Resource” and had so many ideas to reimagine the song using just the vocals. A lot of what you hear on our remix is the result of our experimenting with recording guitars and live drums to cassette tape - we had no idea it would all make it to the final cut. This remix was one of the first projects we worked on together and as a result, showed us a path towards what Leaving Laurel would become. We hope you enjoy it!” - Leaving Laurel
