Anjunadeep warmly welcomes back Joseph Ray for the standalone release of his striking single ‘Changing Lanes’.

First heard on flagship compilation Anjunadeep 13, ‘Changing Lanes’ stands out for its all-enveloping sound design, including a distinct cavernous bass line that has become characteristic of Ray’s solo work. Keeping to his penchant for journey-like compositions, Ray has included the eight-minute original mix on the single.

The single follows Ray’s 2021 collaborative album ‘Leave the Bones’, written and recorded with Haitian band Lakou Mizik. Celebrated by the likes of NPR, Pitchfork, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Worldwide FM, Billboard, and The Times, ‘Leave the Bones’ laid bare the rich musical culture of Haiti, and exhibited the beauty, hope and resilience of the island nation’s people. The album will see an adjoining feature-length film released later this year.
