Anjunabeats Rising graduate Naz presents her first standalone single on Anjunabeats, ‘Pluto’.
Hailing from Sydney, Australia, she’s a versatile producer and multi-instrumentalist now based in the US, after stints in London and Amsterdam. She returned to music production in March 2020 after a decade away, and her comeback ‘Voodoo / Lost’ EP on Ruben de Ronde’s Statement Music caught our ear - her label debut ‘Underwater’ (feat. Deanna Leigh) featured on Anjunabeats Rising Volume 4.
Road-tested at all three shows of our Night Tales residency and our Miami pool party, ‘Pluto’ explores both melodic and darker sonics, and was included in Fatum’s Anjunabeats Worldwide 10 mix compilation.
"Pluto started as a garage track over Christmas last year when I was stuck inside with Covid on holiday in Cornwall. I fell in love with the vocal sample I had used, and I wanted something for the dance floor that could blow some wigs off. And thus, this version was born. It’s been the catalyst of a more clubbier and edgier sound for me." - Naz
"Naz is one of the coolest people you'll ever meet. Her production skills and music composition are very true to who she is as an artist and we believe 'Pluto' is a reflection of that. We are so happy to have her be a part of the compilation and tour this year!" - Fatum
Naz ‘Pluto’ is out now on Anjunabeats. Naz’s jam-packed touring schedule includes supporting Fatum at select dates on the Worldwide 10 tour; joining us at our label shows in New York City and Montréal; and appearances at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender festivals at The Gorge and Dockyards London.
