New on the Anjunabeats label, Lunar Plane deliver a vocal remix of Purple Haze’s ‘Rosy’.
A tech-trance innovator, Sander van Doorn is one of the most recognizable and versatile artists in the electronic scene. He captures a feverish energy in his records and was instrumental in the evolution of trance and progressive house music in the early noughties. His very own Doorn imprint is home to some of the biggest names in dance music today.
Sander’s Purple Haze alias is on the deeper, darker end of his own creative spectrum. Under this alias, he’s created some of our favourite club records of modern times, ‘Bliksem’, ‘The Hymn 2.0’ and ‘Bergen’.
Identical twin brothers Emre & Mert Altinok aka Lunar Plane, first began experimenting with melodic techno, progressive house and electronica after signing a downtempo EP with Solomun’s label 2DIY4. Resulting in a crafted signature sound of emotional ethnic melodies accompanied by driving basslines and deep ritualistic vocals.
Lunar Plane have gone on to have more than 40 tracks chart globally, with eleven of those being listed in Beatport’s Top 10 Charts, as well as becoming best-sellers in Beatport’s Afro House genre two years in a row. The duo have memorably remixed for the likes of Oliver Koletzki, Giolì & Assia and Moby’s ‘My Only Love’ from his 2020 album.
Purple Haze ‘Rosy (Lunar Plane’s Vox Remix)’ is out now on Anjunabeats.
