Jessie Marcella returns to Reflections in October, with her latest ethereal track ‘Luminescence’.

Jessie’s always been drawn to deep, emotive soundscapes. She’s classically trained in the clarinet, and felt particularly drawn to the likes of Sigur Rós or Ralph Vaughan Williams, even as a child. Marcella’s love for dance music and breaks began when she studied digital music production at college, and her music production course at university, which reignited her passion for classical and ambient music. Her work cleverly weaves neo-classical and dance music, creating a tapestry of work that is so uniquely Jessie.

In June 2022 released her debut solo EP ‘Untitled’ on Reflections to showcase the ambient side of her artistry and her ability to compose music that uplifts and subdues at the same time. The second part of her Untitled series was a continuation of the first project, where she produced 4 more ambient compositions. Jessie has seen an incredible trajectory since her first releases on Reflections. She has pulled in over 3 million streams across her releases; has garnered support from the leading likes of Sian Eleri and Jaguar on BBC Radio 1 and can boast Bicep as one of her biggest fans.

'Luminescence' is an uplifting, evocative track featuring live strings that were recorded by Up North in Manchester earlier this year, infusing her trademark electronic sound with a distinct human touch.
