Back under his solo moniker, P.O.S, Paavo Siljamäki delivers his first EP on Anjunabeats of 2024, ‘Fire & Water’.

A celebrated musician and DJ, Paavo is one-third of the legendary British dance institution Above & Beyond, founders of London-based label Anjunabeats. Double GRAMMY-nominated, RIAA Gold Certified artists, the trio have taken iconic festival stages and legendary live venues by storm, from Glastonbury, EDC, and Creamfields, to the Royal Albert Hall and Madison Square Garden.

Coming off a big year in 2023 with his debut solo album ‘Deeper Tales’ and its ‘Companion EP’ a few months later, this new year is already starting off with a bang for fans of P.O.S. His first extended play of the year, ‘Fire & Water’ is comprised of four original tracks: ‘3000ft Under The Sea’, ‘Pacific Tide’, ‘Flying Underwater’ and ‘Automatic’. As always, fans who have been to a P.O.S show over the past year are likely to recognize a song or two as Paavo is known for road testing his music while on tour.

The story behind the EP started with Paavo’s own adventures sailing through the southern Pacific Ocean. His stops at many of the Polynesian islands were a major inspiration for the tracks included on ‘Fire & Water’ as well as his recent ‘Deeper Tales Companion EP’. The EP artwork of a fire dancer is also a reference to these adventures and based on similar photos and videos taken by Paavo on his own travels.
